Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Interior Design Project Manager to oversee projects from planning through final installation and close-out. This role is ideal for a highly organized, proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced, design-driven environment and excels at managing multiple projects simultaneously.

You will serve as the primary point of contact for clients and the operational lead for each project—coordinating designers, vendors, contractors, and installers to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to Kirii Design’s high standards. You will report directly to the Design Principal and work closely with the design team to ensure projects are executed in alignment with Kirii Design’s creative vision and standards.

Location: Cincinnati, OH • On-site

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of interior design projects from concept through completion
  • Serve as the primary client contact, providing regular updates and clear communication
  • Create and manage detailed project schedules, milestones, and installation timelines
  • Proactively identify risks or delays and implement contingency plans
  • Collaborate closely with designers and internal team members to ensure alignment on scope and deliverables
  • Build and maintain strong vendor and supplier relationships
  • Place and track orders, manage lead times, and coordinate deliveries
  • Schedule and oversee vendor, installer, and contractor work to ensure quality execution
  • Negotiate vendor pricing and terms while maintaining project budgets
  • Oversee order placement and verification, ensuring accuracy in specifications, quantities, pricing, and timelines
  • Coordinate vendor invoices and payments with the finance team
  • Support client invoicing and ensure required payments are received prior to installations
  • Track project expenses and monitor costs throughout the installation phase to ensure budgets stay on track and projects close out profitably
  • Oversee installation days and resolve project issues
  • Maintain organized project documentation and reporting
  • Conduct post-install inspections and support project close-out

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business, Interior Design, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–5 years of project management experience, preferably in interior design, construction, or a related industry
  • Proven experience managing schedules, vendors, and multi-phase projects
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Preferred but not required: Familiarity with Chief Architect, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Canva, or similar design software (Mac preferred)
  • Ability to adapt quickly and manage competing priorities

Compensation & Benefits

  • Full-time position with competitive salary, partial health plan reimbursement, two weeks of paid vacation, designer discounts, and opportunities for professional growth.
  • Salary Rage: $50K – $65K/yr

Physical & Work Environment Expectations

  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 15 lbs as needed
  • Ability to remain on feet for extended periods during installation days while managing installers and movers • Ability to move throughout job sites, including stairs and tight spaces as required
  • Ability to sit and work at a desk and computer for extended periods during office days • Ability to perform the essential functions of the role in both office and on-site environments
